tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27th in 1976. He grew up in Southern California and attended Huntington Beach High School where He was a leading player on both football and basketball teams. Gonzalez excelled in these games at the University of California. He played a key role in leading the team's football team to 1996 Aloha Bowl. There, Gonzalez set a record at the school for receptions with nine, and was able to tie it. Gonzalez was able to lead the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. After graduating from high school Gonzalez was selected in the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez was chosen as the 13th overall selection by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was in the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. Then, he was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. He never caught fewer than 59 passes in Gonzalez's second NFL season.
